Direct Charge Control Method for Inverters in Discontinuous Conduction Mode

The discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) of the inductor current is an effective way to achieve high efficiency and power density inverters because it has advantages zero-current switching small inductance filter inductor. Although DCM can operate at a fixed frequency, there been no linear model for realizing high-performance digital control. This paper provides solution this problem. Firstly, first-order charge quantity (CQM) inverter with frequency established, which uses quantities output by bridge as control variable. Secondly, direct (DCC) method proposed, design process significantly simplified. Finally, performance proposed verified experiments using 1 kW prototype, high-quality voltage waveform peak above 98% was achieved. outperforms existing works CQM that realizes simplifies controller.
